On February 17, 2010, Lawrence Ingraham and Wayne Sutton launched a location based app called TriOut, based out of Raleigh, NC. TriOut helps you meet people, find new places and discover things to do in the Triangle. TriOut was created specifically for the community members of North Carolina’s Triangle region (the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill areas). While the focus is on the Triangle, users can check-in from anywhere.
Smokin’ Man BBQ was fortunate to be chosen to cater their launch party for TriOut at RTP in Raleigh, NC. The catering aspect of the event was especially important to us due to our plans to grow in the Triangle area. Based on all of the great feedback at the event and the highly praised tweets we received about just how great the food was (all this coming from people that know their BBQ mind you), I’d like to think that we were very well received by the guests.
The catering event afforded us the opportunity to meet a lot of really great people in both the TriOut and Triangle communities. We look forward to a growing relationship with Lawrence and Wayne as well the acceptance of the Triangle community.
